Kōkua General Store - Halloween Costume Swap
When: Saturday, October 22 11am-3pm
Where: Kōkua General Store 66-249 Kamehameha Hwy in Haleʻiwa town
1. How do I participate in the swap?
a. To participate, you will need to 1) drop-off at least one full costume and 2) purchase a $5 ticket in order to secure your spot. Each ticket is a $5 off Kōkua General store coupon that you can use to shop in the store during the day of the event! Drop off your costume and purchase your ticket by coming into the Kōkua General Store from October 1st-17th. We are open Thursday-Saturday, 11-3pm. On the event day, October 22nd 15th, show your ticket and get swapping!
2. How many costumes can I swap?
a. You can swap a maximum of 3 costumes–bring up to 3 of your favorites to trade, anup to 3 “new” ones!
3. When and where do I drop off my costumes?
a. Drop off your costumes at the Kōkua General Store, 66-249 Kamehameha Hwy, Haleiwa, HI 96712, during store hours anytime before the day of the event, October 1st-17th. We are open Thursday-Saturday, 11-3pm. Feel free to donate a few spare hangers to help stock our stash for the event. We will not be collecting any other forms of clothing or donations.
4. Why do I need to purchase a ticket?
a. The $5 ticket goes towards a $5 coupon which you can redeem in-store. The $5 ticket helps us to make sure that all participants are reserved a spot and that the event is well planned and organized.
6. What kind of costumes can I donate?
a. We are accepting donations for washed, gently-used, PG costumes of any size that are in good condition (no stains, rips, etc.). Please no wigs.
7. Can I take more than 3 items?
a. We respectfully ask that you only take a maximum of 3 items. This is a community event, and we want to ensure that everyone who participates has the opportunity to find a costume that they love.
8. Can I try on clothes at the swap?
a. Yes! We have fitting rooms available at the store.
